British Champs 2017 - Round 1 - Halifax Bruising Banditas v Granite City Roller Derby

The first bout of our 2017 British Champs campaign sees us take the trip to Preston to face our stalwart table-mates, Grantie City Roller Derby!

Coming off the back of a bad defeat at Tattoo Freeze we are keen to bounce straight back and take the game to Granite. Facing Granite City for the third year in a row, we have improved our score against them in each successive year but are yet to get the elusive win.

In 2016 Granite City won the Tier 4 North table while the Banditas came in second behind them. Flying high off their success last year, Granite will, as ever, prove to be tough opponents.

The British Champs games will be run as double-header bouts again. The second game will see hosts Furness Firecrackers play North Wales Roller Derby. Furness are back after spending 2016 rebuilding the team and we couldn't be happier that our old rivals are back in business!

The day proves to be an exciting one. We can't wait to start our British Champs Tier 3 North campaign with a bang!
